Mark your Calendar for the St. John the Baptist Parish Summer Festival on Saturday, June 6, 2015

St. John’s is proud to offer a new event in place of the picnic we had with the school.  We miss our schools and always will, but this is a new 100 years with a new pastor and we are moving forward! The Festival Committee has been doing a lot of planning following the feedback we received in December from our church survey and our survey online.  Overwhelmingly, people wanted to see our event to be on a Saturday and to see something new.

The activities for the kids will be games, a candy store and inflatables and trampolines with harnesses so they can do flips, etc.  This will be for those who are small up to teenagers.  Bracelets will be sold that day for $20 that will be good for the whole 10 hours of the festival.  We will also sell bracelets every weekend mass in May.  There will be no discount for advance purchases.  You will also be able to purchase individual ride tickets that day.

We will have 50/50 raffles throughout the day with the winners pulled at 2:00, 5:00 and 8:00 pm.  You must be present to win.

There will be an International Food Court and our regular American picnic food (yes, funnel cakes).  The concert will run from 6 – 9 pm with Joe Pastor and other alumni musicians and then Joe Pastor with his band, The Legendary.

We welcome anyone who would like to help us  with set-up, clean-up or help the day of the festival.

Trivia Night 2015

Final results are in!! Our 2015 Trivia Night was a success. We profited approximately $8,500 in spite of the ice and snow. Thanks to all who donated their time and worked the event.

Summer Festival (Picnic) Needs

The committee is asking for your help to make a donation for our event. We need bottle water (16.9 oz), canned soda: Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Diet Coke, Sprite or 7UP. The Gardner’s Corner (Plant) booth is asking for small plants, empty pots, dry soup mixes in a jar, homemade jelly, garden décor, etc. Please deposit in the ushers’ room or to the rectory.
